Bottlenose Dolphins are found around the world from the cooler temperate to tropical waters. They live both inshore and offshore. They are regarded as as one of the most adapted dolphins in existence. There are coastal populations along the continents and are found around most oceanic islands too. Bottlenose dolphins move into or live in bays, estuaries and the lower reaches of rivers. In addition there are populations centered far offshore such as the Gulf Stream of the North Atlantic and in the eastern tropical Pacific. They are found mainly where surface temperatures are in the range of 50 to 90 degrees F( 10-32 degrees C)
